Christmas Lights in Byfield 2024

The Parish Council has once again lit up the trees on The Green for Christmas but sadly the lights installed last year at Fiveways have been vandalised with the weatherproof junction box stolen and many wires cut. We will see if there is anything that can be done to repair the damage but if that's not possible then that area will remain dark this year.

Byfield does not have any significant vandalism or graffiti problems and so it is all the more disappointing to see something like this happen, it wastes councillors time and council tax payers money.
