Damage to the Brightwell Pavilion

As some villagers will know the Brightwell Pavilion (next to the scout hut) suffered serious flooding from burst pipes on Sunday 12th January, Ironically it was the fire alarm that alerted us to the problem and so helped avert a much worse problem. Time now for thanks to those from the cricket club who turned out to help with the clean-up and particularly to Marcus from MPC Plumbing for his magnificent work in fixing the leaks and restoring the heating.

The club room will be out of action for the foreseeable future and access to other facilities very limited, the Brightwell Recreation Ground Association and Parish Council will invest more time, effort and money to restore the building to full use as soon as possible.
